Die Emmy Noether-groep ‘Kgalagadi Human Origins’ het in Junie 2021 begin en die projek sal vir die volgende ses jaar duur. Die projek ondersoek die impak van die uiterste klimaatsveranderinge ná die Mid-Pleistoseen-oorgang op menslike evolusie in die suidelike Kalahari-bekken.
